I started in 2000 with a factory that had to be built from scratch. Today I help manufacturers combine Lean Manufacturing with AI. In between — 25 years, working with companies across Europe, over 40 projects and enough mistakes to teach from.

01 START · GREENFIELD

The first stage of my career was greenfield projects — starting up new factories from scratch. I worked on line layout, machine selection, process design, ramp-up to serial production. That's where I learned one fundamental thing: theory in a spreadsheet is not the same as reality on the shop floor.

02 OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Over time I moved into operations management — full ownership of line KPIs, production planning, team management, unit cost reduction. Manufacturing is not technology — it's people and processes.

03 LEAN, TOC AND OPTIMIZATION

Optimization projects and rollouts of Lean Manufacturing and Theory of Constraints. 5S, SMED, KAIZEN, value stream mapping — tools that work when implemented by someone who knows when not to use them. Every industry has its own specifics — and every one of them rewards common sense more than dogma.

// LESSON NUMBER 1
"The best Lean system is the one your team actually uses after you leave. The rest is theater."

04 AI · LEAI

Artificial intelligence in the classic Lean toolkit — predictive maintenance, automatic KPI analysis, anomaly detection. The LEAI — Lean + AI concept was born from that experience: traditional production management methods enriched with algorithms.
